Welcome to Term 2

Wednesday April 15 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

Welcome to Term 2. Although it looks a little different, we are excited to navigate this new world with you all and are confident that Term 2 will be both positive and successful.

Thank you for your support in regards to the move towards remote learning at Indie School.

By now all students should have received their learning packs for distant learning, if not please make contact with your classroom teacher or myself.

A reminder that students are advised to stay at home and learn, as per the advice of Premier Daniel Andrews, and Minister for Education, Mr James Merlino, Term 2 will be conducted by distant education for the majority of our students, except for any children of essential service workers or vulnerable children who cannot be supervised to learn from home.

The key message to come from the Premieres press conference is that ‘all children who can learn at home must learn from home – with exceptions only in extremely limited circumstances.’ (Daniel Andrews). These exceptions are mentioned above in bold.

For those students who need to attend, please be aware that we will be practising social distancing measures and limiting group contact with students. Alternative break times will be used to limit contact.

Students will be completing the same work set for distant learning.

School class time will run from 9am- 2.30pm

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me on 0487 895 014 or anna@awcc.edu.au

Kind Regards,
